Dr. Ramsden is currently a Tenure-Track Clinical Investigator at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) as Head of the Lipid Mediators, Inflammation and Pain Unit with a Joint Appointment with NIA/NIAAA.

From 2009-2016, Dr. Ramsden served as Medical Investigator in the NIAAA Section on Nutritional Neurosciences, and as a Lieutenant Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service.
