Sarah Izabel, B.S.
Biographical Summary
Sarah Izabel received a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in life sciences and a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2020 and joined NIH after graduation. She has worked with Dr. Koretsky at NINDS for a year and has recently joined the Ramchandani lab at NIAAA. In her previous research, she worked with identifying molecular mechanisms of neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, and neuronal abnormalities that lead to these disorders. Her current research interest is to identify causes and therapies for psychiatric disorders in the context of clinical research. Sarah is currently determining what projects she will be working on and she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Neuroscience.
