Heidi Meyer, B.S.

Biographical Summary

Heidi Meyer started as a postbaccalaureate IRTA in the OCD in June of 2023 after receiving her B.S. in Psychology at Davidson College. In college, she studied behavioral pharmacology, but her research focused on positive psychology, with the goal of improving resilience, well-being, and performance outcomes through simple, free, and side-effect free interventions. Her independent research projects include an honors thesis on mindset interventions and a gratitude intervention experiment which was published in the Journal of Positive Psychology. Motivated by her research experiences and desire to help individuals lead fulfilling lives, Heidi aspires to get a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, become a professor, and continue doing research on how to positive psychology interventions can be implemented to improve life outcomes related to mental and physical well-being and performance goals. Her goal is to bridge the gap between research and practice, developing evidence-based interventions that promote mental health and well-being in clinical settings.
