Biographical Summary

Ms. Ryan is the Clinical Trial Operations and Technology Innovation Officer at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) in the Office of the Director. Ms. Ryan provides service to NIAAA in three main areas. First, she serves as the subject matter expert for NIAAA/NIH policies pertaining to Human Subjects and Clinical Research. Second, Ms. Ryan manages the small business (SBIR/STTR) program at NIAAA. In this role she works directly with small business entrepreneurs interested in NIAAA grant or contract support. Last, Ms. Ryan is the Technology Transfer Coordinator and, in this role, coordinates the efforts of the NIAAA’s technology transfer service center. In addition, Ms. Ryan is a Contracting Officer’s Representative Level III (COR Level III). Ms. Ryan received a B.S. in Biology from Towson University and her M.B.A. from the University of Maryland University College and has experience in the private sector in Process Development, gene therapy drug development, cGMP production, and GCP research.
