Miri Gitik, Ph.D.
Biographical Summary
Miri Gitik, Ph.D., is an IRTA fellow from the Hebrew University, Israel appointed in 2013. She is interested in understanding how epigenetic mechanisms regulate psychiatric disorders with a focus on nicotine addiction. By developing cellular models and using next generation sequencing technologies she is investigating the role of DNA methylation and methylation altering genes in nicotine dependence and withdrawal.
