Details:

Please mark your calendars and save the dates for the public workshop titled “Clinical Trial Design for Integrated Care for Patients with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and Alcohol-associated Liver Disease (ALD)”. The workshop is a hybrid event, taking place in Bethesda, MD and via Zoom Meetings on July 12–13, 2022.

The purpose of the workshop is to develop consensus-based recommendations on design of clinical trials to treat two concomitant diseases –ALD and AUD. The advanced ALD of interest are compensated cirrhosis, decompensated cirrhosis and alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH). The main objectives are to:

  • Review the status of the collaborative care models for patients with ALD/AH in clinical setting.
  • Achieve common understanding of how to address the coexistence of AH/ALD and AUD at the same time in clinical research.
  • Identify best approaches and tools for designing novel trials that focus more on treating alcohol use in patients with liver disease, not just on treating the liver disease which has been done previously.

Registration is now open for the event – please register using this link: https://cvent.me/BWQY7V.
