Dr. Yupeng Wang have a broad background in bioinformatics, with specific training and expertise in computational genomics, population genetics, algorithm design, big data analytics and software development. I worked as a research fellow in computational biology at NCBI from 2013 to 2015.  I have worked with Dr. Joseph since 2016. In her lab, my research leverages standard and novel statistical and machine learning approaches to improve understanding of obesity and diabetes' genetic mechanisms.  I also work as a consultant to help biomedical researchers to achieve their goals on data analysis.
