NIAAA Success Rate History and Funding Curves
FY 2012 – FY 2022
At the close of Fiscal Year (FY) 2022, NIAAA analyzed the Institute’s RPG funding patterns, including all reviewed grant applications and funded grants. The final success rate for FY 2022 was 27.1% for all RPGs, 25.4% for R01, and 22.0% for R21 applications. The charts and table below summarize the success rates for RPGs, R01s, and R21s for all types of investigators.
