Biographical Summary

Kristina West, M.S., LL.M., is a policy analyst with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE), Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities team. She serves as a lead expert on Maternal and Child Behavioral Health, including prenatal substance exposures. Ms. West is chairing a federal workgroup on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) that puts together an annual report to Congress on NAS -related activities across HHS. Ms. West previously was a project officer for a FASD study that included an environmental scan and technical expert panel meeting on FASD policy barriers and solutions. Ms. West received a Masters of Law degree from the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria and her MS degree in Health Policy from the George Washington University. Ms. West entered federal service in 2014 as a Presidential Management Fellow.
